Using the Colors View

The Colors tab in Highviz.io helps you understand which color palettes in your posts drive better performance. This guide explains how to read the color data and apply it to improve your Instagram content.

🎨 What the Colors Tab Shows

Every dominant color detected in your posts is listed with:

  • Color Swatch & Name - Visual representation and name (e.g. Navy, Yellow, Gray)

  • Average Coverage - How much of the image contains that color on average

  • Posts - How many posts featured this color

  • Engagement Metrics - Reach, impressions, likes, comments, saves

  • Engagement Rate - We calculate it by dividing total interactions (likes, comments, saves) by impressions.

Tip: Look at colors with the highest engagement rate to see what resonates visually with your audience.

📈 Deep Dive: Color Details View

Click any color to explore:

  • Color Breakdown - Sub-shades like "darkslateblue" or "indigo"

  • Engagement Stats - Aggregated impressions, likes, and saves

  • Post Table - All posts containing that color, with coverage and performance details

Example: You might find that posts with >50% navy consistently have higher save rates - a signal that navy imagery works well for your brand.
