Welcome to Highviz.io — your smart Instagram analytics assistant. Whether you're an influencer, content creator, or marketer, this guide walks you through setting up your account and uncovering what drives your best content.

Highviz.io helps you move beyond surface-level metrics by connecting your Instagram data with AI-powered visual insights.

✅ Before You Start

You’ll need:

• An Instagram Business Account (required for accessing analytics)

• A modern web browser like Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge

• A stable internet connection

💡 Tip: Not a Business Account yet? You can switch by going to Instagram → Profile → Settings → Account → Switch to Professional Account

🔐 Step 1: Sign Up

1. Visit highviz.io

2. Click Get Started

3. Choose to sign in with your email or social login

4. Complete the onboarding prompts

Troubleshooting:

• Make sure cookies and JavaScript are enabled

• Clear your browser cache if the login doesn’t work

• Update to the latest browser version

🔗 Step 2: Connect Your Instagram Account

Once you’ve signed in, you’ll be asked to connect your Instagram Business Account.

🔄 How to Connect:

1. Click "Connect Instagram"

2. A pop-up will appear (enable pop-ups if blocked)

3. Login to your Instagram Business account

4. Accept the permissions requested:

   • Access to basic account info

   • Access to insights data

⚠️ Common Issues:

• Popup Blocked: Enable popups in browser settings

• Account Not Eligible: You need a Business Account connected to a Facebook Page

• Authorization Failed: Try logging out and in again, or clear browser cookies

• Permissions Missing: Accept all permissions or retry the flow

🧠 Step 3: First-Time Data Analysis

After connecting your account, we’ll begin analyzing your Instagram data.

🔍 What Happens:

• Media Sync – We pull your most recent posts

• Insights Collection – We retrieve metrics like reach and engagement

• Visual Scanning – Our AI detects faces, objects, and dominant colors

This process typically takes 3–10 minutes. You can watch the live progress or skip ahead to your dashboard — data will continue loading in the background.

⏱️ Have 100+ posts? It may take longer. Don't worry — you'll see your data appear as it's processed.

📊 Step 4: Explore the Dashboard

Once the analysis is done, your dashboard becomes your control centre.

🧭 What You'll See:

• Metrics Overview – Track reach, impressions, interactions, and net follows

• Time Comparison – Compare performance over 7, 14, or 30-day windows

• Charts & Trends – See how your content is performing over time

• Recent Posts – View key metrics for your latest posts, and click or hover for deeper analysis

Use the sidebar to access:

• All Posts – Full performance history

• Faces – See which posts with people perform best

• Objects – Track item or scene influence

• Colors – Discover what palettes perform well

• Settings – Manage your account and notification preferences

⏳ Step 5: Understand Your Data

Instagram’s API has built-in delays for some data. Here’s what to expect:

This means your most recent post may take a couple of days to show complete results. This delay is from Instagram, not Highviz.io.

📘 Key Metrics Explained:

• Reach: Number of unique accounts that saw your content

• Impressions: Total views, including repeat views

• Interactions: Likes, comments, shares, and saves

• Engagement Rate: Interactions divided by reach

🔍 Step 6: Unlock Visual Insights

Our AI-powered visual tools help you discover why your top posts perform well.

• Face Detection: Understand if posts with people perform better, and which ones

• Object Recognition: See trends in what appears in your best posts (e.g., props, scenes, products)

• Color Analysis: Spot which color schemes are consistently performing well

🛠️ Troubleshooting

❌ Can’t Log In?

• Double-check your email and password

• Reset your password if needed

• Try disabling browser extensions

🔌 Instagram Connection Issues?

• Make sure you have a Business Account

• Reconnect your IG via Settings → Reconnect

• Access expire every 60 days — we’ll remind you when it’s time to renew

📉 Missing Data or Charts Not Showing?

• Wait 2–5 days for latest data to appear

• Clear browser cache

• Ensure JavaScript is enabled

• Try a different browser if needed
