🔗 Account & Instagram Connection

Do I need a Business Instagram account to use Highviz.io?

Yes. Highviz.io requires an Instagram Business or Creator account to access analytics data. Personal accounts are not supported by Instagram’s API.

To switch: Instagram → Profile → Settings → Account → Switch to Professional Account

Why do I need to grant permissions during Instagram login?

We need access to:

• Your basic profile information

• Your media insights

• Your account-level analytics

These permissions allow us to analyze your content and surface engagement patterns. We never post or modify anything on your behalf.

Can I connect more than one Instagram account?

Currently, each Highviz.io account can only be linked to one Instagram Business or Creator profile. If you manage multiple brands, consider creating separate Highviz accounts.

My Instagram connection expired. What should I do?

Instagram tokens expire every 60 days. We’ll notify you in advance, but if the connection drops, go to:
Settings → Reconnect Instagram Account

📊 Data & Metrics

How is Engagement Rate calculated in Highviz.io?

We calculate it as:

Engagement Rate = (Likes + Comments + Saves) ÷ Impressions

This gives a clearer picture of how well your content performs once it's seen.

Why do some numbers seem delayed or missing?

Instagram applies natural delays:

• Reach & Impressions: ~2-day delay

• Follower data: ~5-day delay

• Insights: Refreshed daily

This is due to Instagram's API, not Highviz.io.

Can I analyze older posts?

Yes. Once your account is connected, we pull historical post data (up to the API’s allowed limits). You can view and analyze any previously published content.

What does "HOT", "COLD", "LOW", or "OK" mean next to a post?

These are performance labels that compare each post’s engagement rate against your recent averages.

  This post is performing exceptionally well compared to your recent posts. Consider creating similar content.

• 📈 Good

  This post is getting more engagement than usual. Your audience loves this type of content.

• 📊 Average

  This post is performing normally for your account. This post performed as expected for your account.

• 📉 Low

  This post is getting less engagement than usual. This content didn't resonate as much with your audience.

• ❄️ Cold

  This post is performing significantly below your recent average. Consider analyzing what made this post less engaging.

🎨 Color, 👤 Face & 🧸 Object Insights

How do you detect colors in my posts?

We use AI to identify dominant colors in your post imagery and analyze which hues correlate with higher engagement. You’ll see color swatches, average coverage, and linked post performance.

What does the Faces section show?

Our AI detects faces and groups them by age, gender, and emotion (like happiness), so you can see which types of faces your audience responds to most. You’ll also see which posts feature them and how those posts performed.

How accurate is object detection?

Highviz uses confidence scoring. Each detected object comes with a percentage showing how certain the AI is. You’ll also see which objects are driving higher engagement across your posts.

Can I export my data?

Not yet, but CSV export and PDF reporting features are coming soon. Let us know if you want early access!

Does Highviz.io support Instagram Reels or Stories?

Currently, we only analyze feed posts with images. Video content and Stories will be supported in an upcoming release.

How often is my data refreshed?

• Your data refreshes daily

• You can also manually refresh by going to Settings → Update Data

Is there a mobile version of the app?

Highviz.io is fully responsive and works on mobile browsers, but we recommend desktop for the best experience while reviewing detailed analytics.

Is Highviz.io free?

Yes - Highviz.io is currently 100% free to use.
There’s no subscription, no credit card required, and no hidden charges. We’re offering free access while we grow and improve the platform based on user feedback.

We’ll always give you plenty of notice before introducing paid plans - and we’ll make sure that we will always offer an exclusive generous free tier for our early adopters

Do I need to enter payment info?

Nope! No credit card required to sign up or use the app. Just connect your Instagram Business account and start exploring your analytics.

Will there be paid plans in the future?

Yes, we plan to introduce premium features in the future, but the core features you’re using now will remain free or have a free tier. Our goal is to keep Highviz accessible to creators at all stages.

🔐 Privacy & Security

What do you do with my Instagram data?

We only access what you explicitly allow during the Instagram connection. Your data is encrypted, not shared, and never posted on your behalf.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Go to Settings → Delete Account. This will permanently remove your data from our systems.
